About the calculator
Sales Margin & Markup is a free browser calculator published by Latitude 34 Media Group. It helps retailers, freelancers and sellers turn a known cost and target margin or markup into a selling price and profit.
How it works
Margin compares profit with selling price. Markup compares profit with cost. The same maths applies to every currency. Amounts display two decimal places with half-up rounding; intermediate decimal calculations are not rounded for display.
Scope and limits
Calculations model non-negative profit. Margin must be below 100%. Tax, fees, discounts, overheads and exchange rates are not added. It calculates your chosen scenario, rather than recommending a selling price or target margin.
